welcome
The New England Association of Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) consists of 15 RC&D Councils in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Each RC&D Council is organized and directed by local people to meet local needs.
Resource Conservation and Development Councils play an important role in the conservation, development, and utilization of natural resources. RC&D Councils work to improve the general level of economic activity and to enhance the environment and standard of living in all communities. Councils provide a system of rural development to encourage the wise use of natural resources, and improve the quality of life in America. RC&D is a unique program that is led by local volunteer councils who work together to plan and carry out activities that will make their areas a better place to live.

Funding Update:
Great news about RC&D funding in the FY 2011 Budget
Today the US Senate Agricultural Appropriations Subcommittee and Full Committee passed a resolution/bill restoring the RC&D Program at $50.73 million. This is big! Please pass this along to your regions and your Councils. I want to thank everyone who made the contacts, wrote the letters, and made the phone calls. I feel confident that we will be approved on the House and Senate floor when it comes up for a formal vote. We of course will let you know when this gets scheduled.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
